Even if you had a valid license and see the message "The license does not exist or has expired", it is suspected that the license handle obtained during the last sensor model execution has not been released and is still present as a zombie session in the process.
To check for zombie sessions, first ensure that the sensor model is not running, then launch WebAdmin. Please refer to the "How to check the expiration date of a license" chapter of latest setup manual for launching WebAdmin.
In the "License Monitoring" tab on WebAdmin, you can check the sessions that are holding license handles. If, as shown in the figure below, the "Used" value for a specific "Product Code" is greater than 1, even though the sensor model is not running, it is possible that the sensor model has become a zombie session.
Zombie sessions are typically released after 4 hours in CodeMeter's default settings. However, if you want to release them immediately, you can release license handle from WebAdmin.
To release a zombie session from WebAdmin, first click on the "Product Code" where zombie session is occured, then you can view a list of sessions that hold the license. Then you can relase zombie session by selecting the target session and choose "Action" to release the session.
