After applying the Windows Update, WMI (Windows Management Instrumentation) may not function properly, which can lead to the CmActLicense becoming invalid.
In such cases, you can check the following error message in the CmDust log file of the CodeMeter's system log. Please refer to #17 How to get CodeMeter logs required during support.about log files.
"CmAct: Error (cmact): STD Exception, WBEM Error(80041010): Error Source: WMI"
Since WMI is used for binding CmActLicense, it cannot be utilized in environments where WMI is not functioning properly. For recovery methods for WMI, please contact the vendor of the implementation environment or Microsoft Corporation in your country.
Alternatively, the recovery methods for WMI are summarized in the following article on the Microsoft Japan Windows Technology Support Blog, so please refer to that as well.
