When contacting us regarding issues related to licenses, we kindly ask for your cooperation in collecting the CodeMeter system logs. In the event of a license-related issue, please gather the following three pieces of information.
Please note that the retention period for the CodeMeter event log is set to 14 days by default, so if you identify any issues, please collect the logs immediatery.
1. CmDust log
2. CodeMeter event log
3. Steps/operations leading up to the error occurrence
The methods for obtaining the logs are as follows:
・ Windows
1. CmDust log:
Start Menu > All Apps > CodeMeter > CmDust
* After running the CmDust tool, the "CmDust-Result.log" file will be saved in the Windows user folder (e.g., C:\Users\<your login username folder>).
2. CodeMeter event log:
All files in the "C:\ProgramData\CodeMeter\Logs" folder
・Linux
1. CmDust log:
Execute the "cmu --cmdust" command and send the console log output.
2. CodeMeter event log:
All files in the "/var/log/CodeMeter" folder
